Storm front

Monday evening while returning from a photo shoot in Pennsylvania I drove through an intense thunderstorm, and just before sunset observed the most dramatic skies seen in a while.

It was touch and go trying to find a place to photograph the horizon without any obstructions before it all disappeared. Minutes before this was taken the whole ball of the sun had been shining below a layer of heavy clouds, all while it was raining like crazy. I had just driven out of the rain when I found my spot, and before I finished shooting this the rain was on me again.

Location, I-81 near Greencastle, PA; Nikon D7000 with 12-24mm Nikkor ED lens
