Elf-Man premiere!

A few weeks ago between paying jobs, college classes and family responsibilities I had the pleasure of squeezing in a photo shoot just for the fun of it. I was invited by my friend Richard Jefferies (Wiseacre Films) to the premiere of his new movie, “Elf-Man.” It’s a little Christmas movie with a great big heart, starring Mackenzie Astin, Mirelly Taylor and the one and only Jason “Wee Man” Acuña as Elf-Man (possibly best known for his role in the “Jackass” movie. There’s a lot of difference in the two productions, however.)

Elf-Man is one of Santa’s elves who accidentally gets left behind at the home of a family in need of some serious Christmas cheer (and not least of all, help for a kidnapped dad). He has little confidence in his own ability to help, but the children finally persuade him to put his heart into it, and the rest is history, as Elf-Man discovers his super-hero powers.

“Elf-Man” was filmed entirely in Frederick, Maryland, much of it between Richard’s beautiful old farmhouse and various downtown locations. It also features local folks – as one of the lead players and numerous extras, so it was a very special event for all of us Frederick homies. The premiere screening was at Frederick’s historic Weinberg Center, where all the cast was on hand for fun and photo ops. You can have a taste of it in the pics below.

“Elf-Man” is a wonderful, fun family movie – if you liked “Home Alone” you’ll love this one. Find it at Netflix, Redbox, Youtube and other outlets. Make sure to see the trailer here: http://www.elfmanmovie.com/

  1. I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it
much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme?
    Great work!

    1. It was built on WordPress, using a theme by Photocrati. Very simple to use, which was essential for me to manage as much content as I put on it. Although I haven’t updated it with new work in too long. Too busy doing the actual work!
