New Mexico holiday

Everyone needs a stress breaker now and then. I found mine this holiday season visiting my son at his log cabin in the Santa Fe National Forest in New Mexico.

I had wanted to do this as a road trip but didn’t have time – and road trips really are better done other seasons of the year. But this was a fine Christmas present both to myself and Josh and Krista. The stars couldn’t have been brighter, and I unexpectedly got to revisit the location of one of my old photos on this website, the mission at Las Trampas, and reshoot it as well. (See the Places in black and white gallery.)

We even happened to run into Julia Roberts (or else a very persuasive double) in Taos, but didn’t disturb her anonymity to ask for a photo. I hate to disappoint anyone – but hope you enjoy all the other sights as much as we did. Happy New Year!
